Weight Loss is one of those things everyone wants to do but no one really wants to do.
Hi, I'm Laura and the owner of stratcatonline.com. I've blogged before under this domain and as well as under thedogatemysofa.com and various under blogger. All those are gone now but I have found a need to do more than FaceBook and such.
This blog will consists of my umpteenth weight loss journey plus my everyday life and such.
I have been successful with weight loss once before. Back in September 2010 I began my journey with Weight Watchers and by August 2011 had lost 40 lbs and became a lifetime member. I was never able to keep the weight off though and before long the weight slower crept back on and I ignored it.
I'll be honest, I've never been able to find that "newbie" feeling you have when you do your first weight loss program. It's a one time thing, that doesn't mean you can't ever be successful again; it just means it takes some pushing and not giving up.
I've given up a lot the past few years. Oh I keep restarting, but it seems that as soon as something throws me off course I tend to stay off course and just reconvince myself that I can start again another day.
I'm trying to get out of the mindset. I've been paying WW for sometime now and it's time to stop blaming the program when the problem is within me. They'll be ups and downs here, but I'm hoping that being able to write it out will lead me to more ups!
I'm not a recipe creator. If you're looking for recipes this won't be the place. If I come across a good recipe, I will share it though. And check the sidebar for links to sites that have always been helpful to me.
As I start this journey, I will be using the WW Purple Plan. I may or may not stay on this particular one, but I wanted to give it a go. I won't be doing it exactly as written though and I'll explain that in another post. Please know that the way I'm doing it is not how WW says to do it. If you decide to give it a try, do so...but don't complain to me or WW if it doesn't work for you.
So whether you are starting a journey or in the middle of one; please join me here and share your thoughts, struggles and helpful tips. We're all in this together.
