A Tracking We Will Go

In the event you are wondering....yes, I am following the Smart Point program...yes, I know I said I'd never do it again; but since actually being back in weight loss mode; I decided to give it another try.  The first week went well and I'm anxious to see what week 2 will bring.  I weigh in tomorrow so we'll see.

Going through the tracking, I've had some stumbles.....

My Mom does a huge Sunday dinner every Sunday.  We eat a lot there but plan no meals for later. The issue is that despite the amount of food at Mom's, we start getting hungry around 7 or 8 that evening and it turns into a McDonald's trip which throws the whole day off.  I've decided we need a plan for Sunday evening and I'm thinking grilled cheese or BLT's are the way to go!  I can use my Aldi's Fit & Active Bread (2 sp for 2 slices) with 1 tbsp light mayo (1 sp), tomato slices & lettuce and 3 slices of the Oscar Mayer Fully Cooked bacon (2 sp).  A BLT for 5 pts!  OR the Bread with 2 slices of reduced fat bread for 6!  Add some reduced fat chips and fruit and say GOOD-BYE to McDonald's!

Tracking definitely does more than help you stay within your points...it gives you an opportunity to look back and see the trouble spots and then you can decide how to solve those issues.  Don't just track it and forget it - read it, look it over; let it help you make better decisions.
