Weight Watchers Beyond The Scale Smart Points Program - Members lost 15% more weight in their first two months than with the previous program.
Weight Watchers is proud of that statement......Smart Points triumphs! I just got the September/October Edition of Weight Watchers magazine in the mail (have no idea why it has arrived so late), page 82 offers me some recipes on satisfying snacks (the Smart Points way of course). The first one starts with 1 Brown Rice Cake. I'm sorry, but anything that starts with a rice cake won't be satisfying my cravings, but it gets better...on top of that rice cake we are to put 1/3 cup cooked edamame (mashed) and 1 tsp sesame seeds for an Open-Face Edamame for 4 sp.
Doesn't sound appetizing and definitely the photo does it no justice; I would never waste 4 pt (of any point program) on that! EVER!
I hate Smart Points. Did you hear that? I'll yell it I HATE SMART POINTS.
I love my meetings, I love my leader, I love the people in the group....but I HATE the program. It's not doable for me short-term or long-term.
I'm going to tell you something about dieting......one diet does not fit all. What works for one, may not for another - that's why there are so many different programs out there. If I prefer Points Plus or the Original Point System over Smart Points, why should I be harassed for that??? Why shouldn't I be able to do the program I want?
And that's what I'm going to do....it may be Points Plus, it may be Points, it may be Calories.....but it won't be Smart Points! Oh, I'm still going to meetings and such....but I'm not doing that very restrictive "lifestyle" change they've forced on me.
Now I want to tell you something.....I'm having cake tonight and maybe some ice cream too. It's hubby's birthday and we're celebrating! And tomorrow, I'll get right back on track!
