I just joined WW online last weekend, I'm so hoping that I didn't just waste my money.  I don't know why, but I just can't seem to be okay with just 26 pts.  I eat really well and hit about 35-40 a day - and I'm still really hungry.  Fruits and veggies are last night I had a bowl of I'm still eating 1800 calories a day.  I don't really know what to do...might have to accept being 20 lbs over weight cuz this being hungry to the point of not being able to function is for the birds.
I suggested to this person that they really needed to re-read the program materials and build her menus around the Good Health Guidelines.  "I eat really well" - I'm assuming she's meaning she eats really healthy, but if that were the case the daily point value would not be so high.  "Fruits and veggies are free"- Everyone repeat after me:  "WEIGHT WATCHERS DOES NOT SAY THAT ALL FRUITS AND VEGGIES ARE FREE".

For one thing not all veggies are 0 points on Weight Watchers.  Starchy veggies (potatoes, peas, corn for example) have a point value.  Fruits are not free - you are allowed to count them as 0 pts only because WW says you can; they do not give you permission to go into fruit overload.

Good Health Guidelines:   Mulit-vitamin each day; 6 cups of water (liquid) daily; 3-5 serving of fruits/veggies daily; 2 dairy daily; 2 tsp of a healthy oil daily.  Start your menus with these and fill in the extras.  Those little green triangles next to items online or in the books?  Those are your filling foods - those foods will make you feel fuller for a longer period.

The problem with the word "FREE" is that it gives people the impression that they can eat as much of this as they want...look at those guidelines again: 3-5 servings of fruits and/or veggies daily.  If your weight is stalled and/or your may want to limit those servings to the requested 3-5; count points for any over that.  What?  You can't find those point values?  Easiest thing to do is count 1 point for veggies and 2 points for the fruits.  But if check some of the free calorie counting sites (sparkpeople, myfitnesspal, etc..) you will find the nutritional info in their database and calculate from that.
