A Happy Scale Moment

I made the decision to start my weeks on Sunday, thus making my start date back in focus June 2, 2013.  I am ashamed to admit that when I weighed myself Sunday morning it said 172!!  Totally unacceptable.  I decided to do weigh-ins on Sunday, Wednesday and Friday.  Every day would just freak me out but I can't wait a whole week...I want to catch any trouble spots early.  Anyway I got up this morning, got on the scale and weighed 168.6!  A 3.4 pound loss.  I know Sunday will be the "real" weight test...but that loss keeps me motivated!

"I pledge to never see my highest
weight on a scale again."

That saying is hanging at my desk and every time I think about walking back the hallway to the office where a container of pretzels and chocolate candy exist - I look up and read that quote.  I also look at it when I hear someone in the office say "I'm running over to <<insert name of fast food or any restaurant here>> to pick up lunch, anyone want something?"  I have some other quotes hanging around too:

"If you kind of do it, it kind of works.
If you really do it, it really works."

"If you fail to plan, you plan to fail."

So there you have it - my moments of inspiration.

Today's Menu:
Chobani Blood Orange Fat Free Yogurt
Baby Carrots
Beef Pot Roast 3 oz.
1/2 medium potato
fresh cherries
Before Workout Protein Shake:  Atkins Advantage French Vanilla shake blended with ice and banana
Not sure about dinner yet - yeah that should be planned, but I don't know if I want leftover Chili Mac or want to have an egg sandwich.  Last night's dinner ended up being Chicken Legs!  I'll have the leftovers tomorrow for lunch.

I've been trying to decide how many points I'm earning for working out.  I remember one time walking a 5K and my WW pedometer only gave me 2 points!  Seemed like a whole lot of walking for such a small amount.  But it goes to show that you have to do quite a lot to earn any.  I remember in a meeting that someone said they earned 24 pts. in one day per their WW ActiveLink - I don't care what you do at the gym; but unless you are in the gym from morning to night, there is no way you could earn that much!  I've decided to high ball it and give myself 1 point for every 500 calories I burn.  If I gain; I'll move it up to 1 point for every 1000 calories.  I tried goggling this but everyone had a different way of doing it...some give themselves a point for every 50 or 100 calories they burn.  I guess what ever works for you.

Off for my second training session with Barry.....
